About
I'm a PhD student in the Philosophy department at York University in Toronto. I'm working on the phenomenology of conflict situations using Merleau Ponty as my major theorist. My research is both theoretical and practical as I'm applying Merleau Pontian phenomenological methodology to situations in the Northern Irish and Israel/Palestinian conflicts.
A preliminary chapter outlook:
1. Extending Merleau Ponty's Social-Historical Phenomenology
1 a. Social Phenomenology through Life-Situations and Dialogue
1 b. Phenomenology and the Art of Resistance
2 a. The Phenomenology of Armed Struggle in Northern Ireland. The role of Loyalist and Republican murals and paramilitary memorials in community's self-representation.
2 b.The Beautiful Soul in Palestine.
