Graduate Student, Philosophy
About
I am a PhD Candidate in Philosophy at York University where I am now in the final stages of my research. In my dissertataion I utilize empirical evidence to understand and develop a proper account of folk psychology, that is, how the lay person understands, explains and predicts behaviour. Here I argue that morality and psychology are intimately linked in previously unrecognized ways.
I also focus on issues in bioethics and health policy, having written a number of papers on issues such as physician-assisted suicide and the allocation of scarce medical resources. As a part of this research I examine current policy highlighting shortcomings as well as develop recommendations for future policy.
I am currently seeking employment both within academia and in the private or public sectors.
